Unknown Untitled is commissioned to design a disruptive wind turbine; it must be scalable and modular to meet the exponentially increasing capacity required by a fast-developing demand.

We aimed to deliver an iconic design that belongs in the air while moving away from the traditional fiberglass building process. Using 2D curved panels allows Envision to build a Turbine without producing heavy molds, resulting in a more sustainable product and, ultimately, a safer work environment for the factory workers.

We assessed various design proposals to provide the optimal solution for Envision. In addition to enhancing the nacelle manufacturing process, we also focused on redesigning other turbine components, such as the hub and heat exchange, to ensure a cohesive assembly.

The studio had to address rational topics such as logistics, supply chain, and manufacturing.

Most importantly, the Envision turbine is a genuinely scalable system suitable for both onshore and offshore situations. It can grow along with upcoming technologies, which are enclosed in the nacelle.
